This project involved the delivery of a significant mixed-use development in the heart of Hackney Wick, providing 52 high-quality apartments situated above extensive ground-floor commercial space. The programme was designed to reflect the industrial heritage of the area while meeting the high demand for modern residential and creative workspace. Our team managed the full construction lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of a robust, multi-storey structure that contributes to the ongoing regeneration of this vibrant East London district.

The technical delivery required a highly sophisticated structural and civil engineering approach due to significant subterranean constraints. A primary challenge during the construction phase was the presence of a culverted watercourse running directly underneath the site. This necessitated a complex foundation design and meticulous coordination with water authorities to ensure the integrity of the watercourse was maintained throughout the build. Furthermore, the project involved the successful erection of heavy tower cranes and the pouring of large-scale basement slabs within a constrained urban footprint. By working closely with our structural partners, we successfully navigated these ground-level complexities, ensuring the seamless integration of modern building services and a high-performance building envelope.
